I came to Hurghada in 2019 and started working on a tourist boat because I was a good swimmer and loved the sea. Later, I began learning some English and got a job in a souvenir shop, which helped me speak directly with tourists. I also used to give city tours around Hurghada, and that’s when I started learning German.
I wanted to become someone who could speak more fluently, so I practiced every day using my phone—mainly by listening.
